A Time for Kindness...
When we were little, we created a character to save us from public humiliation. It is a tool we used to shame ourselves before we engaged in activities that invited ridicule and mocking from others. It's called the inner critic. I just saw an amazing movie called the soloist. As I watched the movie, I noticed something odd. In the movie, they told a story about a man who heard voices in his head, so cruel and tormenting I can't help but wonder how much of this inner criticism was a reflection of the perfectionism that is taught in many schools, that actually aided in his insanity. Just a thought. Think about it. Can e drive ourselves insane with negative self-talk?
There is another aspect of ourselves that is in love with the image we have developed of ourselves which sees us as separate and either superior or inferior from everyone else. It has many agendas, one of them is survival. It is not possible to develop this part of ourselves beyond self interest because it is rooted in it. However, it is possible to develop a part of ourselves which is not rooted in fear, doubt, superiority, separation and/or survival. Together we will explore how to operate from a fundamental basis of trust. This basis of trust is required if you truly desire to have an amazing life, filled with magic and positive opportunities. I look forward to seeing you soon.
